The mosque at the centre of the San Bernardino terrorist attack is back in the spotlight after one of the organisation’s clerics, Roshan Abbassi, was found to have had repeated contact with terrorist Syed Farook in the months before the deadly attack which left 14 people dead and 24 people injured. Mr. Abbassi and his fellow teachers at the mosque had previously claimed that they barely knew Mr. Farook, despite his repeat attendance at the Dar al Uloom al Islamiyyah mosque in San Bernardino. The mosque is now believed to be a haven for Tablighi Jamaat activists – a fundamentalist, proselytising Islamic sect known in some circles as the “Army of Darkness”. The New York Post reports that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has found repeated phone contact between Mr. Abbassi and Mr. Farook, dating back to a two week period in June – coinciding with the terrorist attack on two military sites in Chattanooga. Mr. Abbassi – when not dodging difficult questions from Breitbart News journalists – emphasised to reporters during a press conference held just two days after attacks that he only knew Mr. Farook very casually. He said at the time that he only exchanged pleasantries with Mr. Farook when they both
CORONA, California – The Islamic Society of Corona-Norco mosque tonight hosted a “vigil” under the headline “United we Stand” – and the speakers, from City Treasurers, local Mormon and Episcopal Church leaders, as well as Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) representatives and State Senators indeed stood together: in not using the word “terrorism” once in the 90 minute-long event. For what it’s worth – the event was a far cry from the Dar Al Uloom press conference last week, which had ‘fundamentalism’ written all over it. Tonight was this local, presumably Muslim Brotherhood affiliated mosque’s attempt to say, “Hey, we’re not ALL bad” – except not once did those on the panel discuss terrorism, Islamic fundamentalism, or the Muslim community’s role in tackling extremism within their own ranks. While attendees and speakers blamed the media, and in some cases, “candidates running for public office” (hint: they meant Donald Trump) – none of them seemed to realise that what they were doing was in fact part of the problem. “Nothing to do with us,” was simply not good enough from a mosque associated with terrorist Syed Farook’s alleged weapons supplier Enrique Marquez. But they tried it anyway. Shabana Haxton, the mosque’s Interfaith leader, opened
SAN BERNARDINO, California – It is just over one week since the horrific events that unfolded in San Bernardino, California, which left 14 people dead, and 24 people injured. As of yet, there has been no appearance from the nation’s Commander-in-Chief, President Barack Obama. But visitors from around the country have clearly made the effort to attend the site near the Inland Regional Center – where the attack initially took place – to pay their respects. A large memorial has sprung up on the corner of Orange Show Road and South Waterman Avenue, with Breitbart News on the scene to bring you the poignant images, and moving tributes to those who lost their lives, and those who will continue struggle with the loss of loved ones. SAN BERNARDINO, California – The Dar Al Uloom Al Islamiyah of America mosque, which was until a month ago the prayer destination of choice for the terrorist Syed Farook held a press conference today during which it asked female reporters to enter a separate door from, and stand separately to the men in the room. After Friday afternoon prayers, the Dar Al Uloom Al Islamiyah of America invited journalists in for a 30 minute long press conference, during which they refused to tell journalists whether or not the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had made enquiries about other members of the congregation. Journalists posed the question over half a dozen times, to three different spokesmen from the organisation. The reply that kept coming, in different forms, was “no comment”. “So, you guys are our guests,” one speaker said. “And if we have no comment, you cannot force us to have a comment”. Other journalists noted that residents of San Bernardino should be told as to whether or not the mosque knew of others amongst their congregation who are being investigated. Later, they asked that further media requests were handled by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). While common practice at mosques, female
SAN BERNARDINO, California — Residents of San Bernardino Avenue, where the final shootout between law enforcement and Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik took place spoke to Breitbart News Thursday morning, clearly still in shock, and still not allowed back into their homes following yesterday’s attack in San Bernardino.
SAN BERNARDINO, California — The town is eerily quiet, as you might expect following the atrocity in San Bernardino earlier today.
