The dominance of non-politicians and political outsiders in post-debate GOP presidential primary polls shows that mainstream media outlets and political insiders may want to pay more attention to the Breitbart Primary, which has been a leading indicator in gauging which candidates have been resonating with the conservative grassroots. Before non-politicians Donald Trump, Dr. Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and outsider Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) started to surge in state and national polls, they were besting their more establishment rivals in the Breitbart Primary, which is reset each month to gauge the preferences of Breitbart News readers and conservative primary voters. In CNN/ORC’s most recent Iowa poll (conducted August 7-11), Trump leads with 22%, followed by Carson (14%), Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (9%), Cruz (8%), and Fiorina (7%). A CNN/ORC national poll released on Tuesday found Trump in the lead with 25%, followed by Jeb Bush (13%) and a surging Carson (9%). Respondents

It’s debate night. All eyes will be on Donald Trump, the undisputed frontrunner who is like the star athlete who draws recruiters and gets games televised on national television. Debate Moderators Will Have Tough Time Tripping Up Media-Savvy Trump
Even if the stories about Donald Trump being worried about Fox News host and debate co-moderator Megyn Kelly before Thursday’s GOP presidential debate were true (they aren’t), Trump has nothing to worry about. If Kelly intends to trip up Trump on Thursday night, she will discover how difficult that will be since Trump is a celebrity candidate who is a much bigger star–and known by more Americans–than she is. In a normal presidential debate with traditional politicians, the debate moderators usually succeed in being the star attractions even though the debates are supposed to put the spotlight on the presidential candidates. Kelly and debate co-moderators Chris Wallace and Bret Baier may try to appeal to mainstream media elites or the Republican establishment by throwing roadblocks in front of Trump (or helping other candidates do so), but they will find out that the normal rules of politics do not apply to

5 Things Donald Trump Can Do to Win First Debate
Donald Trump enters the first Republican presidential debate as the undisputed frontrunner. Leading in nearly every national and state poll and the top choice of almost every GOP demographic group, Trump, with his appeal to working-class Americans who are fed up with a political system they think is selling them out, has been running circles around the mainstream media–and his primary opponents–who are flummoxed that they cannot control what Americans think of him. Here are five things Trump can do to sustain his momentum and start making his path to the nomination a bit smoother. 1. Assure Conservatives He’ll Be Ronald Reagan Instead of Arnold Schwarzenegger: Ronald Reagan had plenty of liberal and celebrity friends, and he was even an FDR Democrat before becoming the leader of the modern conservative movement. Schwarzenegger, on the other hand, lurched to the left after he was elected California’s governor during the recall election,

Chris Matthews: ‘Little Guy’ Rooting for Donald Trump Because He’s Taking On Elites
On Sunday, Chris Matthews said Donald Trump is resonating with the “little guy” because he is taking on the elites who have betrayed working Americans on issues like trade and immigration. On Meet The Press, Matthews said there is a “sense of betrayal” because “the best and the brightest have given the country away on the border, on debt, on jobs.” “They feel they’ve been betrayed by the elite and Donald Trump ironically is fighting the elite here and the little guy is rooting for him,” Matthews said. Host Chuck Todd also conceded that the “the more we in the media attack him the more powerful he gets.” Those are exactly the points former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin made in her exclusive Breitbart News op-ed last week. Pain wrote that “the elites are shocked by Trump’s dominance, but everyday Americans aren’t.” “Everywhere I’ve gone this summer, including motorsport events in

Uninvited II: Phyllis Schlafly–Sen. Sessions ‘Hero’ for Opposing Amnesty
Phyllis Schlafly, conservative icon and founder of the influential Eagle Forum, praised Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) as a “hero” for being one of the few lawmakers in Congress who understands the devastating impact amnesty legislation would have on American workers. Speaking at “The Uninvited II” national security forum on “Amnesty and Open Borders: The End of America–and the GOP” panel across the street from CPAC, Schlafly said that “there have not been many in Congress who have gotten the message, but one of them has been Sen. Sessions, and he has been a hero.” She said that Sessions immediately called out the House GOP leadership’s “immigration principles” for being the “same recycled talking points” that were crafted by the same consultants and special interests who only guaranteed “amnesty and not the enforcement.” Sessions provided House Republicans with a “myth vs. fact” sheet that exposed the misleading talking points that amnesty advocates in
