Matthews: Comey Did Not Exonerate Hillary — ‘There Is A Difference Between Acquittal And Innocence’

Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” while discussing this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” in which Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton claimed FBI director James Comey did not say she gave misleading statements on her email scandal, host Chris Matthews declared Clinton was “wrong” because, “There is a difference between acquittal and innocence.” Partial transcript as follows: MATTHEWS: I want to make a point with you about the media.
