Pence: ‘Absolute Nonsense’ To Suggest Trump Encouraging Violence Against Hillary

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Republican vice-presidential nominee Gov. Mike Pence (R-IN) said Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s Friday comments that if Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s bodyguards had their guns taken away we would “see what happens to her” was not an incitement to violence. Pence said, “Donald Trump believes in the safety and security of every American and any suggestion otherwise regarding Secretary Clinton is just nonsense. I mean the point that he was making is that Hillary Clinton has had private security for the last 30 years she would deny the right of law abiding citizens to have a firearm in their homes to protect their own families.
