The Rubio for Senate campaign today announced the “Women for Marco” coalition, a team of over 400 women from across Florida who endorse Marco’s record of accomplishment and service. The members will connect with voters throughout the state and tell them why Marco is the clear choice this election.
Marco has stood up for women in Florida and around the world, working for economic opportunity and financial security. In his first term, Marco authored the Girls Count Act which was signed into law last year. The law establishes birth registries to protect women’s and children’s rights in countries where they are lacking. Marco’s respect for women is evident through his work as a Senator, and he will continue his support of womens’ interests if re-elected.
“As a mom, I’m so proud that my daughters have a Senator like Marco Rubio, who has worked in the Senate on behalf of girls everywhere. When Marco wrote the Girls Count Act, which was passed into law, he did so on behalf of the millions of children around the world who are born without sufficient birth registry systems. That’s something all moms should be proud of.” – Doris Cortese, President of the Lee County Republican Women Federated Group
“We need Marco in the Senate to continue working hard on behalf of all women throughout the state of Florida. Marco understands the struggles of the the single mother, and he remains focused on ensuring success and opportunities for our children and future generations to come. I am proud to continue to support Marco and I look forward to spreading his message to women across the state!” – Cindy Graves, Duval, Former President of the Florida Federation of Republican Women and Current Duval REC Chair
“I’m proud to support Marco in his Senate race and to be a member of the Women for Marco Coalition, especially as a soon to be college graduate. Marco’s work to ensure my generation has every opportunity to succeed is a testament to his concern for the future of all Americans, and it’s empowering as I take the next step to begin my career.” – Katherine Rodriguez, Democrat from Miami and Senior at UCF
