*Live at Noon* The Bloggers Briefing: David Bossie, Producer of ‘Occupy Unmasked’
Liberals are still lavishing praise on the Occupy movement, months after it dissipated. The most recent example came Monday from Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne, who proclaimed Occupy “will always merit praise for placing inequality at the center of our politics.”
A new film from Citizens United paints a different picture of the Occupy movement. Written and directed by Stephen K. Bannon and produced by David Bossie, “Occupy Unmasked” answers the question liberals and the media would rather avoid: who’s really behind Occupy?
Bossie will speak about the documentary at The Bloggers Briefing at noon ET Tuesday. The briefing, hosted by The Heritage Foundation, will be broadcast live on Breitbart TV. Watch below.
“Occupy Unmasked” debuted at RightOnline in Las Vegas last month to a standing ovation. The highly anticipated film features the late Andrew Breitbart and Brandon Darby, a former left-wing anarchist who became an FBI informant to help thwart a plot to disrupt the Republican National Convention in 2008. Darby will also speak at The Bloggers Briefing.
During an interview with Sean Hannity in April, Bannon and Bossie outlined the deep ties between the Occupy movement and established liberal organizations funded by the likes of George Soros. Bannon called the protesters who appeared in New York’s Zuccotti Park “useful idiots” who helped reshape the narrative last fall when liberals were on the defensive.
The Bloggers Briefing will also feature Marion C. Blakey, president and chief executive of the Aerospace Industries Association. The organization spearheaded a comprehensive analysis of anticipated job losses in the U.S. economy as a result of the Budget Control Act. Automatic budget cuts, known as sequestration, will take effect on Jan. 2, 2013, unless Congress acts.
The report is the first to analyze the impact of job losses across the U.S. economy, sector by sector, state by state. “Massive cuts have the potential to impact everyone from the defense worker to teachers, healthcare professionals, government employees and beyond,” Blakey said.
The briefing will include an update from Alexander McCobin, president of Students for Liberty, an organization founded in 2008 to unite students and campus organizations dedicated to liberty.
The Bloggers Briefing was founded in May 2006 as a weekly policy discussion for conservative bloggers and journalists. Follow the action or ask a question on Twitter using the hashtag #BloggersBriefing.
