Too Soon? Comic Ross Dons Sandusky Costume for Roast

Comedy roasts are one of the few truly no holds barred events in modern life.

Anything goes. Period.

Even by that measure, comedian Jeffrey Ross' latest shtick is bound to cause some discomfort among viewers.

Ross, known for his scathing roasts, arrived at the Comedy Central roast for Roseanne Barr dressed as disgraced Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

The bold move comes weeks after a statue of Paterno at the university was torn down after his role in a cover-up of former coach Jerry Sandusky's appalling child sex scandal was revealed.

Appearing in a blue Pennsylvania State University hat and jacket, Ross, 46, walked the red carpet with shirtless young men wearing football helmets with towels wrapped around their waists.

To make matters more awkward, Ross was flanked by two young, shirtless men in football gear.

Funny? Outrageous? The public will weigh in soon enough.
