David Axelrod: Health Care Reform Is A "Free Market System"
"The fact is that this system -- we've been criticized by the left because we adopted which was a Republican model of a free market model," David Axelrod said of President Obama's health care law that was reaffirmed by the Supreme Court on Thursday.
"What's going to happen is there is going to be health exchanges in which private insurers compete for your business. And what we're trying to do is create scales so that if you don't have insurance through your job that you can get insurance at a competitive rate. This is a free market system and as I said, the authors of it were not Democrats, but Republicans. It's the Republican party moved so far to the right, that they now disavow the ideas they once championed," Axelrod said on the Friday broadcast of MSNBC's "Morning Joe."
