Sununu: Obama Behind Reid’s Accusation That Romney Paid No Taxes
Former Gov. John Sununu (R-NH) blames Obama's "dishonest" campaign tactics.
BILL HEMMER: Democrats and the President's reelection team refusing to shoot down Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's claim about Romney and his taxes. Republicans say that the claim has no basis in reality.
LINDSAY GRAHAM: I've been around this town for a while. I actually like Harry, but what he did on the floor of the Senate is so out of bounds. I think he's lying about his statement of knowing something about Romney. This is what's wrong...
CROWLEY: That's pretty stiff... You think the leader of the Senate is Lying?
GRAHAM: I do. I really do. I think he's created an issue here. I think he's making things up at a time when the country is just about falling apart.
HEMMER: Former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu is here. Former White House Chief of Staff under George H.W. Bush and a senior adviser to Mitt Romney's campaign. How you doing sir? Good morning.
SUNUNU: Good morning, happy Monday
HEMMER: And to you as well, what do you make of this?
SUNUNU: Look. As Howie Carr pointed out in a column in the Boston Herald the other day, it's not Harry Reid. It's President Obama and the Obama Campaign doing what they always do. They did it to Hillary Clinton and she called them out. They tried to do it to John McCain with the complicity of the New York Times that printed that garbage about some kind of a marital infidelity, and they did it to Sarah Palin with that crazy allegation that her husband was involved in some kind of Alaskan separatist sort of thing and marital problems that later turned out to be completely false. The Obama Campaign and President Obama are the ones that are behind this dishonesty and misrepresentation because they're trying to his the failure of this abysmal Presidency that we have had in office for the last four years.
