Pelosi: Audit the Fed “covered more territory than I think it should have”
I don’t know how I missed this last week, but here’s Nancy Pelosi essentially saying that Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed bill that passed the House last week goes too far and that monetary policy shouldn’t be “politicized.” So every time the Fed has another round of “quantitative easing” or bails out banks and big business, this doesn’t have a thing to do with politics? Give me a break. What Pelosi and those opposed to auditing the Federal Reserve really want is to maintain the status quo, thus allowing Ben Bernanke to operate as he pleases with no oversight or restraint.
