Anti-Trump Judge Rules for E. Jean Carroll in Defamation Claim

U.S. Judge Lewis A. Kaplan ruled Wednesday that former President Donald Trump defamed writer E. Jean Carroll in 2019 when he denied that he had raped her. He said that a jury would decide the amount of Trump’s damages.
