Murders, Violent Crime Sharply Rise in 2015, Says FBI

The FBI released its much-anticipated report on 2015’s violent crime rates on Monday, revealing an alarming 10.8 percent increase in murders from 2014, with the estimated number of violent crimes committed (“murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault,” according to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting program) increasing 3.9 percent.
