It’s All Hallow’s Eve, and no one celebrates quite like a horde of soon-to-be-dismembered polygons. Every year, developers roll out Halloween events for some of the biggest games. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the best.

Report: ‘Desperate’ Harvey Weinstein ‘Wants Tarantino to Apologize’ For Cop Hate
Page Six reports that no less than Harvey Weinstein, producer of “The Hateful Eight,” has joined much of the rest of the world in expressing his anger at director Quentin Tarantino’s anti-cop hate rhetoric. According to the report, Weinstein, who probably has close to $80 million invested in the three-hour Western, is “desperate” for “Tarantino to apologize, or at least walk back his comments.” Apparently, Weinstein is said to be considering “conciliatory moves, such as special screenings of “The Hateful Eight” for police officers and their families.” But it is hard to imagine Tarantino being okay with that. Why would the director want “murderers” and their families to enjoy a free screening of one of his movies? Last weekend, at an anti-cop hate rally in New York, that’s what Tarantino repeatedly called police officers: “murderers.” And now the roof is caving in as one powerful, big city police union after another joins a boycott against “The Hateful Eight,” which hits theaters this Christmas. It is no secret that Weinstein has had one of his worst years ever at the box office. After publicity costs, “Paddington” probably didn’t break even. Same with “Woman In Gold.” The Weinstein Company desperately needs “Hateful

Murkowski: Obama Administration Denies ‘Alaska’s Best Opportunities To Produce Energy’
Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) criticized the Obama administration for “repeatedly” denying “Alaska’s best opportunities to produce energy for our nation and the world” and expanding EPA regulations Saturday’s GOP Weekly Address. Transcript (via ABC News Radio) as Follows: “Hi, I’m Lisa Murkowski. And I’m honored to represent Alaska in the U.S. Senate, where I chair the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. It’s been a pretty good week in Congress – with the House of Representatives welcoming a new speaker, Paul Ryan, and the Senate passing a major bill to protect our nation’s cyber security. What I want to talk with you about today, though, is another key national security issue – energy. And I want to highlight what is happening in my home state, because it foreshadows challenges to come all across our nation. Since taking office, the Obama Administration has repeatedly denied Alaska’s best opportunities to produce energy for our nation and the world. It has blocked production in half of our National Petroleum Reserve, which was specifically designated for energy development. It is locking away the non-wilderness portion of ANWR, where an estimated 10 billion barrels of oil could be produced from just 2,000 acres. In the
Obama: We Can Address ‘Disparities In the Application of Criminal Justice
President Obama argued, “we can address the disparities in the application of criminal justice” during Saturday’s Weekly Address. “Hi, everybody. Today, there are 2.2 million people behind bars in America and millions more on parole or probation. Every year, we spend $80 billion in taxpayer dollars to keep people incarcerated. Many are non-violent offenders serving unnecessarily long sentences. I believe we can disrupt the pipeline from underfunded schools to overcrowded jails. I believe we can address the disparities in the application of criminal justice, from arrest rates to sentencing to incarceration. And I believe we can help those who have served their time and earned a second chance get the support they need to become productive members of society. That’s why over the course of this year, I’ve been talking to folks around the country about reforming our criminal justice system to make it smarter, fairer, and more effective. In February, I sat down in the Oval Office with police officers from around the country. In the spring, I met with police officers and young people in Camden, New Jersey, where they’re using community policing and data to drive down crime. Over the summer, I visited a prison in Oklahoma
Merkel Calls Crisis Meeting On Migrant Invasion As German Unity Fractures
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has called an emergency meeting of coalition leaders after Bavarian Premier Horst Seehofer demanded she stem the flow of migrants entering the country. The meeting is set to turn on new initiatives for controlling the flood and deal with the critical situation on the Austrian border, where thousands of migrants are flocking into Germany on a daily basis. At the same time Mrs. Merkel announced the meeting with Mr Seehofer, set down for later today, she pleaded for patience, saying that there were no quick fixes to the crisis. The Süddeutsche Zeitung reports that the pair will meet with Social Democratic Party (SPD) head Sigmar Gabriel on Sunday. Mr Seehofer, who is head of the Christian Social Union (CSU), sister party to Mrs. Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) had earlier demanded that the government change course immediately. Since the beginning of August at least 318,000 asylum seekers have arrived in Bavaria, Germany’s south-eastern most state. The Bavarian minister-president has constantly called for emergency measures to deal with the influx, including setting a cap on the number Germany will let in and building border reception centres to screen incoming migrants before they set foot in the country. He has gone as far as

Weekly Address: It’s Time To Reform our Criminal Justice System
In this week’s address, the President spoke to the need for meaningful criminal justice reform in America. America faces a cycle of poverty, criminality, and incarceration that traps too many Americans and weakens too many communities. The President believes that we can disrupt the pipeline from underfunded schools to overcrowded jails, and make our criminal justice system smarter, fairer, and more effective. That’s why in recent weeks, he has been traveling the country and meeting with Americans who are working to improve the criminal justice system, from law enforcement officials working to lower the crime and incarceration rates, to former prisoners who are earning their second chance. And on Monday, the President will travel to Newark, New Jersey to highlight efforts to help Americans who’ve paid their debt to society rejoin their communities.
The audio of the address and video of the address will be available online at www.whitehouse.gov at 6:00 a.m. ET, October 31, 2015.
