Sheriff David Clarke: ‘It’s a Shame’ Obama Plays Politics, Violence Against Cops Will Continue
On Saturday’s broadcast of “Justice” on Fox News Channel, host Judge Jeanine Pirro asked guest Sheriff David Clarke how President Barack Obama can support Al Sharpton and Black Lives Matter and then say he is on the same side as the police. An apparently fed up Clarke began by saying Obama “created the narrative” that has divided the black community and the police and that it’s “a shame” the President plays politics, rather than doing what is in the “best interests” of the American people. “Look, this has gone on long enough. The President of the United States and his ilk need to get their boot off the back of the American police officers so that we can get up and go back the to help maintain what little quality of life exists in the American ghetto. We want to go back to enforce constitutionally approved laws, the rules of law,” responded Clarke. “Until this onslaught, this smearing of the character, the integrity, the sacrificing of the American police officer, until it stops, these rising crime rates, this violence is going to continue and it’s to the detriment of the law abiding black community,” he added. “I think it’s a shame that the President plays politics, that politics plays into this; it’s not in the best interests of the American people and
Sen. Tim Scott: IRS Has ‘Created a Culture of Discrimination’
Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) appeared on Saturday’s “America’s News HQ” on Fox News Channel, talking about the IRS scandal, saying the IRS has “created a culture of discrimination.” Scott said people would “challenge the system immediately” if the scandal was over racial discrimination rather than discrimination over conservative groups. “It’s very important for us to restore confidence in the IRS,” he said. “I was very frustrated with the fact that we continue to see people targeted. And imagine if this was racial targeting. We would explode with amazement and challenge the system immediately. We’ve had no such challenge in the IRS.” Follow Trent Baker on Twitter @MagnifiTrent

A number of arrests were made last night at an illegal rave witch descended into a street riot. Revellers charged police, set bins alight and even threw a suspected petrol bomb. Footage from the scene showed an angry mob throwing chairs and bottles as they chanted, “scum” and “pigs” and charged police. At 4am there were 44 police vans and cars on Albert Embankment alone, with many more parked in nearby streets. Four officers were injured and treated for minor injuries at the scene. The Metropolitan Police (Met) said in the statement: “During this confrontation a number of missiles where thrown at officers, including one reported ‘petrol bomb’.” Adding: “Shortly before 06:00hrs this morning, Sunday 1 November officers entered the venue stopping the event with powers under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act. “Persons present in the venue were removed. Islamist Attack: Nine Dead In Somalia Hotel Blast
NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Somalia’s Islamic extremists attacked a hotel at dawn Sunday in the capital, Mogadishu, killing at least nine people and injuring 10, a police official said. The attack started at daybreak when a suicide bomber detonated a vehicle laden with explosives at the gate of the Sahafi Hotel and then gunmen on foot ran into the hotel and shot at people, Capt. Mohamed Hussein said. “They have killed the owner of the hotel, a former military general, and other officials during the attack,” Hussein said by phone from the scene as gunfire could be heard in the hotel. “There’s a hostage situation inside the hotel,” Hussein said. A second explosion came from a car bomb outside the hotel, said witnesses. Al-Shabab, the Islamic extremist rebels waging an insurgency against Somalia’s weak U.N.- backed government, claimed responsibility for the attack through the group’s radio Andulus. The fighters infiltrated the hotel and are still in control of the building, Sheikh Abdiaziz Abu-Musab, al-Shabab’s military spokesman, told the radio station. Somali troops and African Union forces were at the scene of the attack, according to a Twitter post by the African Union Mission in Somalia, which has deployed troops to
