Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer took aim at President Barack Obama for his remarks earlier in the day at the COP21 conference in Paris earlier in the day regarding climate change and the global war on terror. According to Krauthammer, Obama’s rhetoric reflects a idealistic and deluded imagination and anything put forth will go nowhere because it would not make it through the U.S. Senate, which has to ratify treaties. “Because this president lives in a world of his … idealistic and deluded, undergraduate imagination,” Krauthammer said. “This is as if the League of Nations and the U.N. and everything in between hadn’t happened.” “He lives in a world where people get together — reasonable, educated, Harvard Law School educated people from all over the world, and agree on futuristic designs that mean nothing, like the League of Nations, like the U.N.,” he continued. “But we have learned something since then, he has learned nothing. This global warming is the same thing. Nothing will come of it because it’s not a treaty. It would never get through the Senate. It’s not going to be binding on anybody.” Follow Jeff Poor on Twitter @jeff_poor

And I do think it’s time for people in this country, elected officials, leaders, people who want to be president of the United States, to really think carefully about the way they talk about healthcare providers in this country, the way they demonize women and the decisions they make about their pregnancies. I think it’s time for everyone to take stock of that, because I do believe words have consequences.” She added, “I don’t know what the direct correlation is, but I have never seen the kind of rhetoric we’re seeing now in this presidential
