Munich Terror Threat Remains In Place, Stations Open Again
BERLIN (AP) — Munich train stations reopened and trains were running Friday, as Bavaria’s top security official said that the warning about Islamic State extremists intending to blow themselves up in the German city was no longer acute. “We no longer have concrete indications for a terror threat today or tomorrow at a specific location,” Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann told reporters. He warned, however, that the overall terror threat in Europe remained high. Just shortly before the city rang in the new year, Munich police had evacuated the main train station and a station in the Pasing neighborhood. Partygoers were asked to avoid crowds. Herrmann said a friendly foreign intelligence service had warned Germany of an imminent attack at midnight by between five and seven Islamic State militants from Syria and Iraq planning to blow themselves up at locations in Munich, including the two stations. Authorities were investigating intensively on Friday, Herrmann said, but so far had not made any arrests. He said they had received personal data for some of the attackers and were still in the process of investigating and verifying the information. He would not give any further details on the alleged attackers and could not

Sara Netanyahu Questioned for Five Hours on Suspicions of Corruption
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, was questioned under advisement for five hours on Thursday on suspicions of using public funds to pay for private expenses. Mrs. Netanyahu cooperated with the investigators and denied the suspicions against her. She arrived at the offices of the police’s Lahav 433 unit with documents and cheque stubs to support her claims. At this stage, investigators plan on processing the documents and other investigative material and comparing Mrs. Netanyahu’s answers to those given by PMO deputy director general Ezra Seidoff, who was questioned at an earlier date and claimed that all of the expenses were made in accordance with the law, and that every expense listed was approved by a special committee. Farrakhan: The System of Justice in America Should All Be ‘Destroyed’
Thursday, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan posted a video on his Facebook page from “The Cliff Kelley Show” on WVON from Dec. 12, 2015, in which he said “the system of justice in America should all be destroyed.” Discussing the controversy surrounding the Chicago police department over the shooting death of Laquan McDonald, which is calling into question the leadership of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Farrakhan said, “This is pointing not to getting rid of a mayor or getting rid of a police chief or getting rid of a state’s attorney. What the hell difference does it make if you get rid of them and the system that produces them is still in place? There is no such thing as reforming this. This has to completely be taken down. Who is man enough? Who is strong enough to say that the system of justice in America is an injustice to the American people? It all should be destroyed and something new and better put in place.” Follow Pam Key on Twitter @pamkeyNEN
