The Center for American Progress, widely considered the “idea factory” for the Obama administration, recently issued recommendations for possible presidential action on gun control along with a larger data collection scheme that targets legal gun owners. CAP’s anti-gun blueprints may influence any executive order issued by President Obama on the issue, and even form the basis for the gun control policies of a future Hillary Clinton administration. CAP’s founder, John Podesta, served as White House counselor until earlier this year. He is currently chairman of Clinton’s presidential campaign. In the past, CAP policy papers have gone on to become Obama administration policy. CAP is so close to the administration it was labeled the White House’s “idea factory” in a Time magazine profile titled, “Inside Obama’s Idea Factory in Washington.” The White House has used the massacre at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California to float the idea that Obama may use his executive authority on gun control before he leaves office. White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters last week that Obama believes gun control will keep weapons out of the hands of terrorists. Obama himself singled out guns during his Oval Office address on Sunday on the San Bernardino attack. During

Palestinians Sentenced For Plot To Murder, Kidnap Jews On Temple Mount
JERUSALEM – Palestinian claims of a so-called Jewish threat to the Al Aqsa Mosque continued to unravel on Monday, when the Jerusalem District Court here sentenced three Palestinians to prison time for a plot to kidnap and murder Jews on the Temple Mount. The three were living in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Tor. According to the indictment, the trio were part of a terrorist cell that held 15 meetings to plan attacks on Jews on the Temple Mount, even preparing weapons and explosives for the attack. The court decision comes as Israel has been facing a “wave of terror” by Palestinians largely driven by a false narrative claiming Jews are attempting to take over the Al Aqsa Mosque and that Israel poses an imminent threat to the site the Muslim world calls its third holiest. The narrative is particularly nonsensical given that it is propagated by the same Palestinian Authority that has been caught on several occasions trying to destroy Jewish Temple-era antiquities on the mount. While claiming an Israeli plot against the Al Aqsa Mosque, hundreds of Palestinians last month set fire to the Joseph’s Tomb complex, causing severe damage to the revered burial place, considered Judaism’s third holiest
Muslim Clerics Blast Islamic State: You’re Ignorant of Arabic Language, Sharia Law
TEL AVIV – Hundreds of religious and academic scholars, most of them Muslim, have added their names to an open letter that uses Islamic jurisprudence to refute the ideology of the ruler of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
CLAIM: Obama Warned Islamic State 45 Minutes Before U.S. Airstrikes
TEL AVIV – It appears the Pentagon is struggling with the same moral dilemma that confronts Israel in its own war on terror: How to minimize civilian casualties without compromising the aims of airstrikes targeting terrorist infrastructure in urban areas. Social media is ablaze with claims that the Obama administration “tipped off” Islamic State terrorists 45 minutes before the U.S. Air Force destroyed 116 tanker trucks in the Al-Bukamal province of Iraq. The strike was intended to reduce ISIS’s ability to transport stolen oil products. The Pentagon’s Operation Inherent Resolve Spokesman Colonel Steve Warren told reporters that before the mid-November airstrike, the military dropped leaflets warning truckers, “Get out of your trucks now, and run away from them.” The air force also made low passes to warn of impending strikes and announced in another leaflet: “Warning: airstrikes are coming. Oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life.” Warren told reporters at a November 18 briefing: ‘This is our first strike against tanker trucks, and to minimize risks to civilians, we conducted a leaflet drop prior to the strike. We did a show of force, by – we had aircraft essentially buzz
