The Real Story of #IStandWithAhmed stinks of leftist exploitation

Second Debate Grades: Carly Fiorina Soars, Jeb Bush Tanks
Wednesday night’s Republican debate on CNN from the Reagan Library lasted for approximately three hours, but felt as if it lasted for all eternity. During the endless conversation, some candidates rose, some fell, and most of the audience fell asleep. The debate may not have clarified the potential nominee – but it certainly clarified who won’t be a factor in the coming weeks.
#StandWithKim Davis
As of Friday morning, Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis sits in jail for her refusal to hand out state licenses for same-sex marriages. She cited her First Amendment religious liberty in her defense. She was arrested after being held in contempt by a federal judge, District Judge David L. Bunning. Her arrest represents tyranny – not because there is no legal authority to arrest, or because freedom of religion trumps rule of law, but because selective use of legal authority is tyranny. And Kim Davis is right to risk jail in defiance of federal lawlessness. God bless her for that bravery. There are three issues to contemplate here. First, legally, does the government have the authority to jail Davis? Second, morally, does the government have the authority to put Davis in jail? Unsurprisingly, the emails reportedly contained few revelations, since Clinton deleted 30,000 of them and wiped her server before turning it over to the authorities. But they did contain a few nuggets of interest: the State Department tech department had no clue Hillary was using a private email server or personal email address; Hillary liked to correspond with out-of-government players like former Clinton hit man Sidney Blumenthal, particularly on critiques of people like Speaker of the House John Boehner (Blumenthal called Boehner “louche, alcoholic, lazy, and without any commitment to any principle,” a largely-accurate but not entirely free-of-irony description coming from Blumenthal); and more classified emails Hillary has denied ever sending or receiving. It’s no shock that Hillary’s emails contain no smoking gun; that’s the point of spoliation of evidence. What’s
