EXCLUSIVE: Tommy Robinson Interview – ‘I Don’t Regret Forming the EDL, I Wholeheartedly Regret the Effect It Has Had’
London, United Kingdom – Former leader of the English Defence League (EDL) Tommy Robinson has spoken exclusively to Breitbart London’s Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam about his time as leader of the English Defence League, as well as his recent run-ins with the law. Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, becomes emotional in the interview (above) when discussing the pressure placed upon his personal life, his family, and accuses the higher-ups in the British establishment of trying to have him killed by putting him in dangerous parts of some of the worst prisons in the United Kingdom. He also attacked the fascist elements that he claimed had infiltrated his former organisation, blasting the BNP and its former leader Nick Griffin, and remembering the first EDL march, where “we had placards that said… National Front go to hell.” But he admits that at points it became unwieldy, as external organisations attempted to wrest control
Financial Times: Migrant Crisis Adds To Europe’s Anxiety About Islam
From the Financial Times: Among Britain’s best-loved sportsmen of the 1970s was a mild-mannered heavyweight boxer named Joe Bugner. Born Jozsef Kreul Bugner in southern Hungary, he fled to Britain as a child with his parents after a Soviet invasion in 1956 crushed an anti-communist uprising. The Bugner family were among 21,000 Hungarians who arrived in Britain. These refugees formed part of a wave of more than 200,000 Hungarians who crossed the Iron Curtain and found shelter in western countries. Everywhere they benefited from spontaneous donations of clothes, bedding and household goods from the general public. Europe’s refugee and migrant crisis is striking not just for the reluctance of most EU governments to open doors on the scale of 1956. A motif of cultural self-defence, of Europe as a Christian fortress justifiably barred to Muslim hordes, runs through their rhetoric. Syria’s savage civil war has generated 4m registered refugees in
WATCH: EU President Jean Claude Juncker Says ‘Tomorrow Morning We Will Have Climate Refugees’
European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker used part of his “State of the Union” speech yesterday to make a bold claim about migration into the European Union that seems to have been missed by most news outlets. He said, in revelatory comments about how the European Union expects to expand the definition of refugees and migration. He said in his State of the Union speech: “One example of where we Europe is already leading is in our action on climate change. “In Europe we all know that climate change is a major global challenge – and we have known for a while now. “The planet we share – its atmosphere and stable climate – cannot cope with the use mankind is making of it. “Some parts of the world have been living beyond their means, creating carbon debt and living on it. As we know from economics and crisis management,
Labour MP: Britain Should Take 10,000 Migrants A Day, ‘We’ll Do What Germans Did’
Father of the House and Labour Party MP Gerald Kaufman has demanded that Britain “do what the Germans” did and take up to 10,000 migrants every single day, in an extraordinary intervention in the migrant debate that took place in the House of Commons yesterday. Kaufman, a long-standing ally of Labour leadership hopeful Jeremy Corbyn, is usually known for his anti-Israel comments, as well as his cosying up to Islamist sympathisers. So it may come as no surprise that Mr Kaufman jumped on the migrant crisis to urge the British government to take more economic migrants – mostly Muslim men – rather than just refugees in camps in Turkey, as promised by British Prime Minister David Cameron. Speaking in the Commons chamber yesterday, Kaufman said: “The Germans took 10,000 on one day… I recognise the financial problems, I recognise the assimilation problems, but if we don’t do it now we

PM Cameron Says Britain Will Take 20,000 Refugees, Says Merkel is ‘Very Grateful’
Prime Minister David Cameron has just annouced to the House of Commons that his government intends to resettle “20,000 refugees” over the course of the Parliament. That means that Mr Cameron, who was elected on the platform of reducing net migration into the United Kingdom to the “tens of thousands” will take a minimum of 4,000 more people per year, despite net migration into Britain being at an all time high at 330,000 over the last year, according to recent statistics. When he was pushed on the issue by acting opposition leader Harriet Harman, Mr Cameron said that he had “just got off the phone with Angela Merkel… she was very grateful”. Mr Cameron’s comments came in the first session of the House of Commons after the summer recess. His announcement comes just hours after the French government agreed to take an extra 24,000 people, and after Germany ramped up

WATCH: Dutch Choir Greets Migrants
As migrants have reached Western European countries in recent days, they have been greeted by some locals with open arms. Sweets, toys and water were handed out in Munich, but in Apeldoorn, in the Netherlands, the welcoming was musical. In Munich on Saturday afternoon, dozens of well-wishers stood behind barriers cheering and clapping as the first of that day’s expected 8,000 asylum seekers made it to Germany from Hungary. The enthusiastic crowd offered sweets, toys and bottled water to the sometimes bemused migrants, many with children, passing before them. A grandmother called Hedy Gupta, who was handing out blocks of chocolate, is quoted in The Guardian saying: “We just wanted them to know that the torture is over, I have children and a five-year-old grandchild and when I think what they have been through, these children, it leaves me on the ground.” A local legal assistant, Waltraud Volger, was also there to welcome the
