Over the course of the previous ten years, whenever I’ve gone on national television or radio to discuss immigration figures I’ve always felt that I’ve been met with, at politest, a sneer. At times this has even degenerated into demonisation, like when Evan Davis interviewed me for Newsnight in the run up to the General Election, I wondered whether this was the modern day equivalent of the Salem Witch Trials. The liberal elite view has always been that if you even dare to discuss immigration, it was a cover for racism. Yet the attitude I received yesterday after the worst ever official immigration statistics – which I suspect are grossly underestimating the real numbers – was quite different. Interviewers were asking genuine questions about the sustainability of our public services in the face of such rapidly rising numbers. Some were even prepared to have an intelligent debate on the fact that over

NIGEL FARAGE FOR BREITBART: Battle of Britain Bravery Came in Many Forms, and Should be Remembered
I have spent the whole of my life living in the shadow of the Battle of Britain. I say this because the Village that I’m from and indeed the road in which I grew up are less than half a mile from the runway at Biggin Hill. And throughout the whole of my life I’ve been fascinated by the Battle. Indeed during the 1980s I attended every single Biggin Hill Air Show and always headed for the Veterans’ tent where men of ‘The Few’ were selling and signing their autobiographies. So I was lucky to meet many of the famous names that helped save our country. There was always the added spice in this tent of the presence of German veterans such as their top scorer Adolf Galland. For anyone who would like to know a little bit more about the Battle, the pilots and their lives I would heartily
NIGEL FARAGE FOR BREITBART: I Hope Corbyn Wins, He’s Good for the Referendum and Will Kill The Green Party
For fifteen years now I have believed that the folly of the Euro currency would break up the European Union. It was perfectly obvious to me that economic and monetary union between Greece and Germany could never work and that political union was an impossibility. But now I see a mistake even greater than the Euro folly: the EU’s Common Asylum Policy. The divisions between North and South are growing wider by the day. As I’ve said before, European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker’s policy is that anyone that comes across the Mediterranean can register for asylum. And that indeed is what is now happening, as the numbers that arrive dwarf all estimates and begin to head towards a potential exodus of biblical proportions. Just look at the scenes in Kos this week. Migrant arrivals in Greece this year are at over 124,000, an increase year on year of 750 per cent
FARAGE FOR BREITBART: Calais Chaos Will Get Worse Rather Than Better
The chaos in Calais looks only as if it is going to get worse rather than better. But should we be surprised? Imagine for a moment that you are one of the illegal migrants camped out in Calais looking to get into the UK. You know that you are very likely to make it – Kent’s Chief Constable warned this week that up to 70 per cent of migrants are making it through to the UK. That’s some 900 or so in just one month. So, you know that you have a very good chance of making it to Britain if you manage to smuggle yourself onto British soil. But what then? Well, there will be those who of course get through undetected. As for those who are caught? Well, just look at what happens currently with those who seek to claim asylum and are turned down. Home Office figures
