At a Dubuque, IA rally on Tuesday night, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump told the crowd that fellow Republican primary candidates Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and his mentor former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) hug, kiss and hold each other on stage despite Rubio running against his mentor when Rubio was not supposed to run. “So I saw them on the stage recently and Jeb says, ‘Oh, Marco is a dear friend of mine. A dear, dear friend; such a wonderful person.’ And Marco is saying, ‘I love Jeb.’ Do you notice Jeb never uses his last name? Why? He’s ashamed of it. Why?” “But, if I were Marco, in particular, if I was Jeb, I wouldn’t say, ‘Marco is a good friend of mine. Marco did something he was not supposed to do.’ I watch these two guys. They’re hugging and kissing and holding each other. Very much like actually Chris Christie did with the President. I’m only kidding. But they’re

Trump: ‘If You’re Running for President, You Shouldn’t Be Allowed to Use Teleprompters’
Before a Dubuque, IA rally on Tuesday night, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump spoke with reporters telling them that he “doesn’t believe in teleprompters” and that is why he has gotten large crowds, such as the 30,000 people that showed up at his Mobile, AL rally over the weekend. “I’m always on live television and if you’re on live television every three or four days you got to say things different. You can’t give the same stories, right? I think about my speeches and I don’t believe in teleprompters, although it’s easy to stand up and read a speech for half an hour and leave. You wouldn’t have sold out crowds like I have. You wouldn’t have 30,000 people like we had in Alabama and the crowd we had the other night in New Hampshire.” “It’s not the same,” Trump added. “In fact, I jokingly say if you’re running for
Report: Obama Accused Derek Jeter of Hustling Him in Golf Game
President Barack Obama has played a lot of golf in his days as the nation’s leader. On Monday, Obama relayed one of his golf stories while speaking at a fundraiser for the Nevada Democratic Party hosted at the home of The Las Vegas Sun owner Brian Greenspun. Obama talked about about golfing with Greenspun and former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter, saying the two “stole money” from him because Jeter was “shanking balls everywhere” at the practice range and then beat him on the course. Via Politico: Obama kicked off the fundraiser recalling a trip to Nevada last November when he and Greenspun golfed with Yankees Hall of Famer Derek Jeter. “He and Derek Jeter stole money from me at Shadow Creek,” Obama said of Greenspun, referring to the course in North Las Vegas. “It was clearly a set up, because when we got to the practice range, he was shanking balls everywhere. I said,
Ravens Coach Harbaugh: ‘I’m Going Trump Here. Build the Wall’
Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh got political in a post-practice rant on Saturday. According to the Baltimore Sun, Harbaugh was initially making a case to the NFL to allow referees to get more practice during training camp to shake off rust, but then he equated the dispute between referees and the NFL over more practice for referees to politics, saying, “Both sides want it, so maybe they ought to start talking to one another — maybe like our government, too.” “I’m going Trump here,” Harbaugh stated. “Build the wall. It’s not that hard. If you don’t have a border, you don’t have a country. You’re not a country without a border, right? At the same time, you’ve got 12 to 15 million hard-working people here. Give them a shot. Give them a chance, right? To become a citizen, so they’re paying taxes. I mean, all of us know that it’s not that complicated, but
Watch: Padres OF Justin Upton Hits Teammate in Head with Helmet
After getting thrown out trying to steal third on Saturday, San Diego Padres OF Justin Upton went to let out some frustration by tossing his helmet. Instead of being slammed into the ground, the helmet got stuck on Upton’s finger and he ended up accidentally throwing the helmet teammate Yonder Alonso’s head, sending Alonso to the ground. This angered Alonso, and he was shortly removed from the game as a precautionary measure. “We’re out there competing and that’s a big point in the game and I made a big mistake. I was pretty upset about it. It’s childish. I’ve got to do better than that and not make that mistake again,” Upton said of the incident. Apparently, Upton and Alonso made up because, according to MLB.com, Alonso made light of the situation on Sunday by showing up in full catcher’s gear. The two teammates also hugged in the dugout. Just in case:
Gutfeld: Like the Left, Trump Is Using ‘Emotional Stances’
During Sunday’s broadcast of “The Greg Gutfeld Show” on the Fox News Channel, host Greg Gutfeld spoke on GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s candidacy. After denouncing left-wing activists for putting emotions over facts and logic, Gutfeld stated that Trump is bringing “emotional stances,” such as anger, into the GOP. “Modern activism rejects reasoning, for it hurts the narrative. And if the truth hurts, then truth becomes a hate crime. And you’re seeing glimmers of this now on the right. The right normally mocks emotional stances, but some embrace a new anger led by this guy [Trump].” “It’s very entertaining, but I’m a prude.” he continued. “Meaning I don’t jump into bed with just any provocateur. You’ve got to wine and dine me first with logic and facts, then the insults. So as parties devolved into name-calling, and cower before the loudest voices, you’ve gotta remember that logic dies in service of emotion, which ultimately leads to chaos.” Follow Trent Baker on
Kasich: ‘To Me, Conservatism Is Giving Everybody a Chance’
GOP presidential candidate Ohio Governor John Kasich sat down with CNN’s Dana Bash in an interview broadcast on Sunday’s “State of the Union,” and was challenged with accusations that he sounds like a Democrat sometimes. Kasich said that Republicans “allowed themselves to be put in a box,” and that conservatism “is giving everybody a chance to be successful.” “I think Republicans allowed themselves to be put in a box. Like, if I care about people — like some lady whispered to me when I walked out of the town hall, she says, ‘Thanks for caring about people,’ and she’s like whispering like that’s — no. To me, conservatism is giving everybody a chance to be able to be successful. That’s the way Reagan was. I mean, that’s common sense.” Follow Trent Baker on Twitter @MagnifiTrent
McCaskill: Hillary’s Email Scandal: ‘A Good Old-Fashioned Political Witch-Hunt’
Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) called the accusations against Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, who turned over her private server to the FBI four days ago after it was wiped clean, “a good old-fashioned witch-hunt” on Sunday’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” “Secretary of State Clinton was not the first secretary of state to use personal email, but she is the only one that has turned over tens upon thousands of her emails, and asked them to become public. Now she’s turned over her server. What this has turned into is just a good old-fashioned political witch-hunt,” McCaskill said. Follow Trent Baker on Twitter @MagnifiTrent
Trump: I’m Not Prepared to Close the Door on a Third Party Run
On Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump told NBC’s Chuck Todd that he wants to run as a Republican, but when pressed by Todd to completely rule out running as a third party candidate, Trump said he was “not prepared to close that door yet.” “I’m not prepared to close that door yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some day in the not too distant future it happens,” he explained. “They’re treating me very well. I just want to be treated fairly. And I’m a person that believes in leverage.” Follow Trent Baker on Twitter @MagnifiTrent
Judge Jeanine: Evidence Shows Hillary Is ‘Guilty’
Judge Jeanine Pirro opened up her Fox News Channel show, “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” by tearing into Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over her email scandal. Pirro asked Clinton why she wiped her server clean and if she delayed handing over her server so she could get rid of all of the evidence, and summed up her monologue by saying, “My verdict, based on the evidence, is guilty.” “Hillary, why did you wipe your server clean? Did you delay so you could get rid of evidence? If you did, it’s called obstruction and tampering, and, by the way, I don’t know what took the FBI so long to try to get it. But Hillary, if that server has been scrubbed so clean, that even FBI experts cannot reconstruct your emails, that tells me you did everything you possibly could to prevent anyone from knowing what you were doing while you were our secretary of state. My verdict, based on the evidence, is guilty,”
