On Wednesday, in what could be construed as a subtle hit on Hillary Clinton, California’s Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted his support for Ke$ha, the performer who has claimed Dr Luke, who ran the record label featuring her, psychologically tormented her and raped her after drugging her. Of course, Ke$ha has given evidence over the years of her distance from normalcy; the singer has drunk her own urine on a reality TV show, and claimed “Ghosts haunt my vagina.” Still, her craziness has no bearing on the validity of her claims against Dr. Luke. Newsom has attempted to put some distance between himself and Clinton before; in November he warned she was “taking a big risk” by concentrating on gun control.
