One of the top talking points the media and the Republican Establishment are using to scare GOP primary voters away from Trump is the idea that his blunt talk on immigration will so alienate minority voters he won’t have a chance to win the presidency. CNN’s latest poll, however, shows that the billionaire businessman actually does better than Establishment-favorite Jeb Bush with non-white voters. In a head-to-head match-up with Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush wins only 23% of the non-white vote. Hillary win 72%. That’s a difference of -49 points. Trump loses the non-white vote by -47 points, 71% to 24%. The +2 point difference in Trump’s favor is within the poll’s margin of error but blows away the idea that Jeb’s pandering to the Left and media on the issue of border security is the key to Republicans taking back the White House. Pro-Trump Focus Group Make Frank Luntz’s Legs Wobble
After overseeing a focus group of 29 fervent Donald Trump supporters, Republican pollster and consultant Frank Luntz told a group of reporters that, “My legs are shaking.” Although the Middle East is in chaos, our Southern border is in chaos, and our inner-cities are in chaos; although we are entering our seventh year of economic malaise as the national debt tops $18 trillion, the so-called Smart People in politics and media still can’t quite figure out why a wildly successful businessman promising change and to stick it to these same Smart People, is so danged popular. Maybe the focus group — made up of 23 whites, 3 blacks and 3 Hispanics — woke some of them up: [emphasis added] “When Trump talks, it may not be presented in a pristine, PC way, but we’ve been having that crap pushed to us for the past 40 years!” said another man. “He’s
History and Law Agree: No Birthright Citizenship
Conservative Republicans have been saying for years that the Constitution only guarantees birthright citizenship to some children born in this country, not to all. ‘Bimbo’: Donald Trump Reignites Megyn Kelly Feud, Mocks Jeb
The ever-combative Donald Trump used his Twitter account Monday night to re-launch attacks on both his Republican presidential rival Jeb Bush and his media rival, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly. Kelly, who is just returning from a two-week vacation, was accused by Trump of being “off her game” and “afraid. — .@megynkelly must have had a terrible vacation, she is really off her game. Was afraid to confront Dr. Cornel West. No clue on immigration! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 25, 2015 – Trump also mocked Kelly’s “unscheduled vacation.” This is a reference to their pre-vacation feud that began during the Fox News debate. With her withering debate questions, Trump (and many others) believe Kelly singled out Trump for destruction. Immediately after the debate, Trump harshly criticized Kelly, which led to a three day media furor. Kelly then left for what she said was a scheduled two week vacation.
