The Rubio for Senate campaign today introduced the “Democrats for Marco” coalition, a team of nearly 90 people who are campaigning for Marco in his bid for re-election. Breaking from the rank-and-file, the members of the coalition know that Marco is the best candidate. The team will connect with voters across the state and tell them why Marco is the clear choice this election.
A growing number of Democrats are voicing their support for Marco. Democrats know how important it is that Marco is re-elected to act as a check and balance in the Senate regardless of who the next President may be. Democrats have seen Marco prove himself as a strong and fair leader for not just Republicans, but all Floridians. In an election this crucial, voters know they need a Senator with experience and knowledge on the issues, both of which Marco’s opponent, Patrick Murphy, does not have.
“As a lifelong Democrat and former Executive Director of Democratic Party, I can say with confidence that Marco is the only person running in this election who can solve the issues that our state and nation currently face. I believe in Marco’s vision for our future and I am proud to stand by his side and vote for a Republican this election cycle.” – Barney Bishop, Former Executive Director of Democratic Party
“We need an experienced U.S. Senator we can trust, and I believe Marco is that person. He’s worked hard on our behalf and has constantly strived to do what is right for our state and country. I have been volunteering for Marco and I am excited to continue spreading his message across Florida, and talk about why he is the right choice for all Floridians.” – Sydney Alonso, UCF College Student
“As a Hispanic Democrat, I am proud to stand behind Marco in his bid for re-election. He has relentlessly fought on behalf of the Hispanic community and is the only candidate who has an in-depth understanding of the challenges facing Latin-America and its impact on our national security. We need Marco in the Senate to continue making decisions in the best interest of the Hispanic community and I am excited to spread his message ahead of the election.” – Silfredo Padilla, recent retiree
“Marco is the clear choice in this election. As a Democrat, I am proud to stand by Marco’s side. In an ever-changing and unstable political environment, we need Marco in the Senate to keep the American dream alive, and act as a check and balance on whomever is elected president. I look forward to connecting with voters throughout Florida and telling them why Marco deserves their vote.” – Karson Turner, Hendry County Commissioner
