Republican presidential hopeful Rand Paul told a Davenport crowd Friday the Republican Party has to expand and he’s the only one in the race who can do it. Paul, a senator from Kentucky, is crisscrossing the state in the final three days before the Feb. 1 caucuses. And, joined by his wife, Kelley, he met with about 150 people at the Hotel Blackhawk’s Gold Room, where he argued that the party needs to be bigger and that he can appeal to young people and racial minorities.
