“We are united in saying that the negotiated deal on balance is good, that any available alternatives are worse, and that Congress killing the deal would be a tragic mistake,” wrote 98 Hollywood Jews in L.A.’s edition of the Jewish Journal a few weeks…

Pataki: Trump Immigration Plan ‘Un-American, Outrageous and Demagogic’
Sunday on WABC New York’s “The Rita Cosby Show,” Republican presidential candidate former Gov. George Pataki (R-NY) said Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s immigration plan of deporting the over 11 million illegal immigrants currently living in the Untied States and then letting the good people back in the country after being screened, and ending birthright citizenship is “un-American, outrageous and Demagogic.” Pataki said, “I’ll tell you, this is crazy. First we have to secure the border, and know that people come here illegally. But think about the idea. Whether or not it’s Constitutional… Requires a Constitutional Amendment, or, as Marco Rubio said, getting something through Congress. We’re going to send 11 million people back to wherever they came from? It’s just senseless. And by the way, you know, you have a child, 7, 8, 9, 10 years old, born in America, speaks fluent English, never been to Mexico, or wherever his
WaPo’s Marcus: Trump’s Revolving Door for Good People Makes No Sense
Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus said Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s plan of deporting the over 11 million illegal immigrants currently living in the Untied States and then letting the good people back in the country after being screened is an expensive “revolving door” that “makes no sense.” Marcus said, “There’s very interesting opening for Trump’s would-be competitors on the right with this argument about the good people. Because now it seems like we’re going to have the nice door but it’s kind of Trump revolving door where you spend an enormous amount of money to get everybody out, break up families, then you get the good people back in which is entirely inconsistent with his argument that we need everybody out because they’re taking wages and jobs away from the good people already here who are American citizens so it makes no sense.”
CBS’s Dickerson: Is Trump Plan to Let ‘Good People’ Return a Form of Amnesty?
Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson wondered if Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s plan of deporting the over 11 million illegal immigrants and then letting the good people back in the country after being screened is essentially a form of amnesty. Dickerson asked his political panel, “When Donald Trump talked about the good people who were here illegally coming back in. Won’t that be seen as amnesty?” Follow Pam Key on Twitter @pamkeyNEN
Christie: Trump Immigration Plan ‘Too Simplistic,’ Filled with ‘Applause Lines’
Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Republican presidential candidate Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) said his opponent Donald Trump’s immigration plan is “too simplistic” and his call to end birthright citizenship is an unrealistic “applause line.” “In many ways too simplistic, the idea of building a wall, kicking everybody out and ending birthright citizenship,” Christie said. “It all sound appealing in some respects to some folks I think it’s a very complicated problem and it need someone who understand how to do complicated nuanced solution to that problem.” On birthright citizenship Christie said, “It’s in the Constitution. I don’t think that we should be looking to change it. Now, what I said was if we want to have comprehensive immigration reform I’d be willing to listen to anything. But the truth of the matter is, that is not something we should be focused on that is an applause line. The fact is
Set Phasers to Kill! SJWs Burn Down The Hugo Awards To Prove How Tolerant And Welcoming They Are
At the seventy-third annual Worldcon science fiction convention on Saturday night, social justice warriors did their best impression of the nightmare firemen of Ray Bradbury’s classic Fahrenheit 451, choosing to burn down the Hugo Awards and damage science fiction instead of seeing works of heretical authors outside of their exclusive clique winning awards. Earlier this year, Breitbart reported on the Sad Puppies and Rabid Puppies voting slates, which swept many major categories for the Hugo Awards, science fiction’s coveted fan-voted awards. This year’s Hugos were hotly anticipated: fans and industry insiders alike were curious to see if social justice could come together to act with the uniformity of thought of the Borg to overcome the Puppy’s nominations. The Puppies slates have been characterised by some in the media as “raging white guys” upset that sci-fi is providing a home for more diverse voices. But a quick glance at the authors they actually chose
Business Insider: Hillary Clinton’s ‘Best Argument’ in Email Scandal ‘Destroyed’
Business Insider, hardly a right-wing publication, posts a headline saying that this revelation “destroyed” what would have been Hillary Clinton’s “best argument” against criminal investigators.
Rouhani Channels Obama: Only “Warmongers” and “Zionists” Oppose Iran Deal
While giving a speech to commemorate Iran’s Defense Industry Day on Saturday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani declared that the nuclear deal agreed upon by world powers (US, UK, China, France, Germany) and the regime in Tehran only faces opposition from “warmongers” and “Zionists.” “By our own political power, we reached an agreement, which all countries around the world confirm,” he said. “Only the Zionist regime (Israel) and warmongers in the US are against it.” Rouhani’s accusatory comments follow the same theme as the remarks uttered by President Obama in defense of the deal as of late. He said earlier this month: “Now, when I ran for president eight years ago as a candidate who had opposed the decision to go to war in Iraq, I said that America didn’t just have to end that war. We had to end the mindset that got us there in the first place. It was
Gov Brown: Hillary Will Have to Use ‘Her Best Imagination’ to Answer for Email Scandal
Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Gov. Jerry Brown (D-CA) said Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton with have to “use her best imagination” to deal with the growing scandal over her deleting the emails from her tenure of secretary of state and wiping her server clean. Brown said, “I’m telling you, this email business has a certain buzz that keeps buzzing. And I have a hard time figuring out, why is it such a big deal? But it is and she’ll have to use her best imagination and adroitness to deal with it. So, these are things that happen. it’s still very early. And I hope she can get beyond this because I think as a matter of fact and laws and ethics, these emails are not what the pundits are thinking they are.” Follow Pam Key on Twitter @pamkeyNEN
