Kotaku Told Me: Denounce GamerGate Or Else, Says Popular YouTuber
Popular YouTube comedian and lets-player, Steven Williams, better known to the internet as Boogie2988, claimed Friday that Gawker‘s gaming and technology vertical Kotaku had blacklisted him because he refused to publicly disavow consumer press ethics movement GamerGate. After Kotaku spoke out against game publishers last week for blacklisting the discredited Gawker property, Boogie pointed out the irony of Kotaku whinging about blacklists and blocking: Having been a recipient of a blacklisting by the folks at Kotaku, it’s amusing to hear them complain about being blacklisted.
It hurts, eh? — Steven Williams (@Boogie2988) November 19, 2015 He then followed up the tweet with a 10-minute video explaining the situation on his YouTube channel, BoogiePlays. In the video, Boogie details the events that led to his apparent blacklisting, and explains that prior effectively blackmailing him, Kotaku not only wrote multiple articles either about or including him, but that he also had regular communication with the staff there too before being excluded. Boogie claims that all communication and reference to him was cut off after he declared a neutral position on GamerGate. Kotaku editor Stephen Totilo quickly claimed the allegations to be false, but Twitter users soon criticised Totilo’s defence. @Boogie2988 Untrue. We never blacklisted you. We don’t blacklist people. And we
Inside Tumblr’s Teen Killer Cults
Tumblr, the digital hiding place for fifteen-year-old girls and their teenage angst, is commonly associated with social justice, third-wave feminism and fluorescent-dyed hair. It is a place regularly mocked by other online communities for its politically-correct stances and oversensitive reactions to anything remotely offensive. But something appears to be changing. Tumblr is no longer the big like-minded and heavily inter-connected community it once was, and vastly different subcultures are growing on it. The “true crime community,” sometimes called “the TCC,” is a prime example. The community that would’ve once been considered a niche now has a following of close to a thousand, and it shows no sign of stopping any time soon. True Crime posters have favourite serial killers, mass murderers, or school shooters, and dedicate their entire blog as a shrine to the favourite, complete with crime scene photos, fan art, edits, and quotes. Within the True Crime Community, there are further sub communities. ‘Columbiners’ post exclusively Columbine massacre related content, usually idolising Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the two students that killed 13 fellow pupils at Columbine High School, Colorado in 1999. ‘Roofies’ admire the 21 year old Charleston church shooter, Dylann Roof, and frequently post net-art and meme-related edits and

Tampon Tax Feminists Fall For 4Chan ‘Free-Bleeding’ Hoax
Three British girls from Berkshire have fallen for a 4chan hoax after “free-bleeding” outside of Parliament on Friday to protest the so-called “tampon tax.” 22-year-old Charlie Edge and two friends wore white trousers, held signs of protest, and displayed visible blood stains on their crotches while free-bleeding after spending three hours protesting that female hygiene products are subject to VAT. The “tampon tax” has drawn the ire of feminists. What Edge and her fellow mischief-makers probably don’t know, however, is that “free-bleeding” is a hoax cooked up by users of image board 4chan in early 2014 to convince batty feminists that feminine hygiene products were a form of patriarchal oppression. The Tampon is a MALE invention designed to OPPRESS women into RAPING themselves and spending their hard-earned money. #freebleeding — Roaring_Womyn (@Roaring_Womyn) January 31, 2014 Stop OPPRESSION and SELF-RAPE.the tampon is nothing more than a PHALLUS that society FORCES us to PENETRATE our sacred vaginae. #feminism — Jessica Marquez (@dontjudgeme3333) January 31, 2014 Dozens of feminists – news outlets – fell for the joke, with one woman, Kiran Gandhi, even running the London marathon while free-bleeding. The trick played on far-Left feminist activists shows no signs of evaporating. In a post on her Facebook page, Edge wrote:
